since i was so in the mood to bake today, i decided to browse for some peanutbutter cookie recipes. felt like having some peanutbutter goodness today. heheh. so i came across this amazing fool proof recipe. and it only takes FOUR ingredients to make! just my kind of recipe. heee.
this recipe definitely makes a nice batch of chewy peanutbutter cookies. they are however, a tad sweet for people who despise (i know. a strong word. haha) sweet, sugary bites. me? well... not a big fan really.
perhaps they are a tad sweet because i didn't notice the different amounts between the peanut butter and the brown sugar in grams, although they both measure up to 1 cup. might be different in weight due to the fact that brown sugar is less dense/packed than peanut butter --> which means, don't mash the brown sugar into the cup to get it densely packed up to 1 cup. just pour the sugar into the cup, and leave it loosened as it is, up to 1 cup.
these cookies are really easy to make. trust me. you just have to mix all the ingredients together (i used a spoon), and spoon them out onto the baking tray! hahah. they'd definitely make perfect comfort food for all the peanutbutter addicts out there.
the cookies - unbaked
so as you can see, i had a bit of fun photographing them. heheh. cookies and milk. the perfect combo for a lovely home treat. especially the ones that are fresh out of the oven... the cookies i mean.
took a bite! yumms!
Peanut Butter Cookies (recipe from 4ingredients.com.au)
- 1 cup (250g) crunchy peanut butter
- 1 cup (220g) brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg
- preheat oven to 180C.
- mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
- spoon small tbsp sized balls onto lined/greased baking tray.
- flatten them slightly by using a fork.
- bake in preheated oven for 8 minutes or until a thin crust forms on the cookie.
*p/s: works just as well without cinnamon as suggested in the recipe. so, if you happen to be one of those cinnamon haters (well, i am), leave it out. heheh.
happy baking everyone!!
